We have had no moisture in Shelton that I can tell. Weather channel shows a 15% chance of light showers between noon and 6 pm.

We will be open all day today. 9am to 7pm.
Windy and chilly today but we have had no rain and the rain chances after 11:00 am are very low. If you have a chance to shop today I would try to do it because our Friday, Saturday and Sunday for this week will be a zoo! Weekend forecast for 70 and 80 and light winds means the parking lot will be full.
Another cool and wet day and I didn't get a chance to say that through the entire month of March!
We will be open all day. At 6 or 6:30 tonight, if I'm exhausted, soaking wet, and grumpy we might pull the gates early. If we do we will post here. If you are traveling from some far away place and driving through send us a text and we'll wait for you.

Closing at 6:30 today! Sorry for any inconvenience.
The rain is welcome. We are having some fairly major down pours of rain and we had some pea to nickel size hail. The morning has been busy and people are buying. I can honestly tell you I worry every year about the average sale amount. We track it closely. I was uncertain folks would spend money as they have in the past. With expenses higher and please remember and never forget we sell nothing that people must have. This isn't deodorant, toothpaste, or gasoline to get the car to work. After the first Saturday morning open, even with major rain, this will be a good year. Product is moving, they are buying all pots across the board. We worry that they buy only a few best sellers and at times the other product can be harder to sell. I'm excited to say they are buying every color and every combo. The rain is welcome! The ground is so dry they water nearly disappears immediately.
WE PLAN TO BE OPEN ALL DAY EVEN WITH THE RAIN. BRING YOUR UMBRELLA AND WE HAVE PLENTY TO LOAN OUT IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE. BRING YOUR MUCK BOOTS BECAUSE BY FIVE ITS GOING TO BE WET.
As always thank you for your support!

We are OPEN AIR! If you are new to open air or bump up pot the roof you see over our structure is shade fabric and porous. Rain will come through it. If you plan on shopping tomorrow with the likely chances of rain:
1. BRING YOUR MUCK BOOTS OR YOUR SANDLES BECUAUSE YOUR FEET MAY GET WET.
2. BRING AN UMBRELLA BECAUSE YOU MIGHT NEED IT.
If it rains hard our facility will hold some water for a very short time. The ground is very porous and we percolate water out very fast but if it just down poured rain there will be puddles to walk through.
We plan to be open all day from 9 am to 7 pm. If we make changes to our hours we will update right here on this blog.

This 24th day of April look to be a pretty good Friday when you consider the weather forecast. We are open all day from 9am to 7pm. Breanna is stopping in Kearney and checking to see if we can pick up some umbrellas in case we need them tomorrow and Sunday. Rain on the weekend is never a good thing for flower sales but we need rain really bad and I a day to relax. I'll take the rain. Sounds like Saturday rain might be a light mist or steady light rain and if so we will be open. If it pours rain and there is standing water in our facility we may close for an hour or two. WE WILL IMMEDIATELY MAKE AN UPDATE TO THIS WEATHER BLOG IF WE INTEND TO CLOSE DUE TO RAIN. PLEASE CHECK IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME AND CHECK IT OFTEN.

Today is our opening day. Most product is here but we will continue to move more plants here during the day today. Our hours are 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, seven days a week. Just because the front gates are open does not mean we are open. Many mornings I slide the gate open so my wife doesn't have to do it when she arrives at 9:00. The gates are heavy and difficult to slide open so I do it for her. We need to get into the place a hundred times a day to stock product and it is physically exhausting to open and close those gates 100 times a day. This is the reason the gates might be open.
I repeat one time: just because the gates are open doesn't mean we are open. Our hours are 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, seven days a week.
I have my fingers crossed for cooler weather. High 80's and low 90's are not a good thing for March and April. We target a sales window that is fairly narrow and this window determines the day we start planting in February. With the very warm March and April it has produced a rapidly growing but excellent crop.
With the impending rain chances this weekend we plan to be open during all of it. Bring your muck boots and your umbrella if you plan to shop as we are OPEN AIR. The cover over the building is porous and will allow moisture through. We need rain in the worst possible way so I'm hoping Sunday is a nice rainy day and we can do a ducky drawing for a discount on Sunday. Follow Bump Up Pot Nebraska as this is where we do all our updates and follow www.bumpuppot.com and click the weather related link for all our weather updates that may change our hours.
As always, we are grateful for your support.

On this very windy Friday we have decided to open next Wednesday the 22nd of April. I didn't feel like fighting with the cold temps tonight and Saturday night. We will be open on Wednesday. Hours are 9 am to 7 pm seven days a week. VEGETABLES WILL NOT ARRIVE UNTIL THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY. We will update at bumpuppot.com when vegetables have been delivered.
